I am a software engineer working in the data domain. Experienced in building resilient and battle-tested end to end data products. Worked on various stages of implementation and believe data should play a crucial role in every company's strategy.
At Klarna I'm currently working as a software engineer in the Data Exploration and Security Team and previously I've worked in the Data Processing Frameworks team.
The scope of the two teams are similar but differ in the details: Data Exploration and Security's goal is to enable quick discovery and easy usage of data at Klarna in a compliant and secure way. The purpose of the Data Processing Framework team is to provide frameworks to automate and optimize how data traverses through Klarna.
Worked both as a data scientist and as a data engineer in various industry sectors. Projects included but were not limited to Carrefour, Port of Antwerp, Agoria, or AXA. Worked with both cloud-based and on-premise solutions.
I try to work on some side projects from time to time. Even this website is a product of that. With some ex colleges who are now friends, we currently try to deliver a project every few months.
We made a dashboard to display what's hot in the data field regarding languages, tools, and infrastructure. We show these changes over time and have filters based on location. This way, you can see if these requirements differ and assess which languages or tools are important to learn. You can find the final blog post here
The goal of this project is to offer a dataset containing population data. This dataset has a filter with different geographical subdivisions for which we also include the Geopolygons. This can make the life of data scientists and data analysts considerably easier when doing market research.
In my personal life, I try to be active a lot and have various interests ranging from Snowboarding to Crossfit. I love being outdoors and explore the wonderful city of Stockholm.
Except sporting, I like mathematics and am currently reading up a lot on biology and (bio)chemistry. In the computer science field, I try to read a few papers a week and am currently really interested in various fields ranging from Reinforcement Learning to Compiler and Database theory.
I do have a positive view of the world, and as such, I believe we are on the edge to see great things in the coming decade. I occasionally participate in a Kaggle and try to work on some side projects from time to time.
